All Azalea Designs are labeled 'Azalea'.  None of the garments are missing labels, therefore I don't consistently mention this fact as it is a 'given'..

Sizing.  Here at VintageHighFashion.com  the term Mannequin is used to indicate the showroom sample size, which is logically based on the draping mannequin.  Today sizing is far different than it was in the 1960's.  Typically a showroom sample size which is now a size 2 or even 0,  was called a size 8 or size 10 which is a size 14 today.  Confusing?  You bet !

Our  Mannequin is the Original draping Dress Form that Azalea used to create her designs.  The Mannequin (dress form) measures:  Bust 35, Waist 25, Hips 35.  This should be considered a very adjustable size since the very generous construction and seams allow for great flexibility. (see note below)

Alterations.  Azalea has always looked for ways to offer couture customization to the Ready To Wear sensibility.  This is often very difficult in garments that are lined.  Most often a lined garment must be nearly completely disassembled in order to make an alteration.

To accomplish this goal Azalea devised a lining system that facilitates this goal while at the same time giving more body to the garment itself.

As you can see from this inset, the garment is fully lined in a way that allows easy access to facilitate sizing adjustments to the ample seam.

This style of lining construction has the added benefit of adding body to the form of the garment.  This construction is in skirts and dresses but not in coats and jackets.

Condition
All the garments here at VintageHighFashion.com are circa 1960 - 1970.  More than 95% of the garments are never worn, one of a kind showroom samples that have been carefully packed away for over 35 years.  They, however wonderful they are, still must be considered differently than a newly produced garment in the same way an antique armoire differs from a newly produced one.

The advantages of purchasing quality vintage are obvious.  Aside from the uniqueness of style one can only get from designer vintage, there are certain attributes in addition to increasing  investment value that also improve.  The brocades attain a richness that just isn't possible without the patina that age lends it.  Conversely you must also expect some minor flaws.  I do my utmost to point out these flaws for you, but I haven't been finding much so far.  In general when dealing with vintage clothing excellent does not mean perfect.  I believe this collection of garments are as close to perfect as is possible as they have for the most part never been worn. Sometimes but rarely dry cleaning might be advised prior to wearing.

Shipping & Handling.   We don't charge for handling.   We only charge our actual shipping costs, hopefully covering the cost of postage and actual shipping materials.  Insurance is required for all purchases.  There is an 8% New York sales tax to all purchases shipped to NY addresses.

Returns.  Returns are only allowed within three days of delivery confirmation.  This is to avoid garments being worn for an occasion,  then returned.  Believe it or not, this does happen.  These garments are mostly one of a kind and actually archival by their very nature.  We feel committed to preserving this very special aspect of fashion history.

Return Details: If you decide you would like to return the garment you must first email us with the details for the reason for the return.  You have three days from delivery confirmation to reship the item.  There are no exceptions.  Shipping costs are non-refundable nor are PayPal fees incurred by the transaction.   There is a 10% restocking fee for returns unless the return is issued as a store credit.

Payment Details: Credit Card Payments are preferred.  By clicking the BUY NOW button, your browser will connect you with PayPal, the global leader in online payment solutions.  This site enables any individual with an email address to make an online payment securely, easily and quickly.  The item details are already prefigured for the transaction which facilitates the purchase.  PayPal also accepts Echecks and direct bank transfers. This method of payment is simply the most secure way of making online payments.

Clothing Availability:  By far most articles of clothing and jewelry at Vintage High Fashion are one-of-a-kind Vintage Fashion finds and are therefore subject to prior sale.
